ITINERAY IN DETAIL

 

DAY 01:  ARRIVAL  LABUAN BAJO – RINCA – LABUANBAJO  (D)
 
When you are arriving at Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo our staff is ready at the arrival gate, holding a sign board of your name or specific group of you. He or she will welcome  you and assist you, then direct transfer to the harbor, embark a Phinisi boat or a traditional wooden vessel to have a leisure sailing to Rinca - the original habitat of the Komodo Dragon. You will see and observe the gigantic reptile on the earth. You will also find many wild animals like Timor deer, wild buffalo, long tailed macaque, wild boars and also numerous of birds such as lesser sulphur crested Cockatoo, collared kingfisher etc. Your tour will be conducted by local ranger to have a short trekking along this natural preservation.  Keep your eyes look up as sometimes you will find young Komodo dragons on the tree for their safe. Return to the boat and proceeds to Labuanbajo Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

 

DAY 02:  LABUAN BAJO – RUTENG - LIANGBUA (B, L, D)
 
After having breakfast at the hotel, early in the morning head up to RUTENG, passing through the lush jungles and some scenic landscapes along the way. Scenic panoramas along the road from Labuanbajo to Ruteng gives special impression. You will stop to have a light hiking to the hill to see "LINGKO" spider web rice field on CANCAR. Reach the very cool Ruteng city. Upon arrival in Ruteng then you will visit to Rueng Pu’u Village with the Manggaraians Gendang traditional house and Compang traditional altar. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch we will proceed the trip to Liangbua Cave the place where the archeologists found the skeleton fossil of the hobit known as Homo Floresniensis. A short learning on the museum of the Hobbit. Back to Ruteng for dinner and stay overnight


DAY 03:  RUTENG – BAJAWA (B, L, D)


After having breakfast you will proceeds to Bajawa another cool city on the island. Scenic panoramas along the road from Ruteng to Bajawa gives special impression. Stop at Ranamese Lake in lush rainforest, short walks for a breathtaking of fresh atmosphere on RANAMESE's tranquil surroundings. Ranamese Lake and the forrest is the home of the endemic birds. Continue the trip and on the way you will stop to see the process of making traditional wine liquor of ARAK, and test drinking will be a choice. Stop will also be made on Waeri the best view point to take photo of Inerie Volcano. Upon arrival check in for overnight at your accommodation on the town of Bajawa or outskirt of the town of Bajawa. Lunch at local restaurant, Dinner will be served at local restaurant in Bajawa.


DAY 04:  TREKKING BENA – TOLOLELA – GURUSINA – MALANAGE (B, L, D)


Leave Bajawa for Bena traditional Village by car with first stop at Langa to see the local women work in processing the organic ikat weavings, where they only used green leaves in colouring the traditional  weavings with no chemical. Proceeds to Bena, driving down the hills through the rich of scenic panorama along the side of the amazing Inerie Volacano. Arrive BENA then have a short sightseeing. Stop in this traditional community for a trekking to other traditional community in TOLOLELA and GURUSINA. You will visit to the still well-maintained traditional communities who is living on the slopes of the Inerie volcano.You will start to have a 3 hours trekking westward through forest and savanah with the stunning view along the slope of mount Inerie. Besides the fresh air for breathtaking, if you are trekking on the right season you will meet colourful flowers on trek and it presents the stuning views. And after an hour trip, you will reach the stop point where you will find the amazing view, you will widely catch the silhoutte of the mountain range with the back ground of Indian Ocean and the dots of villages around the base of the volcano. At your right side there are amazing high rocketing walls of rock  and various shape of the volcanic stones.

 

Entering to the village you will be greeted with warm smile of the local people. You may see a more secure and traditional community where people live away from hectic and bustling of modern lifestyle. Besides Tolo Lela, you are invited to visit Bo Village just away down of Tololela. The villages and the houses are well maintained and no modern house found there.  No public transport approach the village due lack of good access. There is a stony road connecting this village to Gurusina traditional village that very rare passed by truck or motorbike.


From Tololela you will continue for walking down through the stony-road approx 1 hour to the next traditional village in Guru Sina where the car is waiting to take you to Jerebuu. Besides Tololela you will also observe the village and traditional houses compound at Gurusina. Stop in Jerebu’u and you will step up a Sixty two steps to Kampong BU’U the small original village before people build their modern houses down at Jerebuu. There are four traditional houses left, two Ngadhus and Bhagas, menhirs and dolmens. Walking down Back to the place where car is parking, then the car will take you to MALA NAGE to have soaking in the warm spring running in cascades. Driving up to Bajawa and back to your hotel.


DAY 5 BAJAWA – ENDE – WOLOTOPO – WOLONDOPO – MONI (B, L, D)


After having breakfast at the hotel at 09.00am you will have a city tour in Bajawa then drive eastward to Ende. Stop will be made on Penggajawa, the Beach lined with pastel blue, green, and pink stones. You'll see people sitting solitary along the shore, intently piling up stones. This cottage industry of enterprising locals sorts the stones for export as far away as Japan. Proceeds the trip to the Ende town and have a stop for visiting the museum of the Indonesia’s First President Sukarno. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After having Lunch proceeds trip through the beach with stunning scenery to reach to Wolotopo - a unique traditional village of Lionese, then drive up through the mountainous road to reach to Detusoko.  Call at Wolondopo to see the only Mumi on the island then proceed to check in to the hotel in Moni. Dinner at Kelimutu Restaurant.

 

DAY 6 MONI – KELIMUTU – MAUMERE (B, L, D)


Wake up early in the morning to have an excursion to the summit of the Volcano – KELIMUTU with its mysterious three colored crater lakes.  Expectedly we will witness the sun rise from the top point of Mount Kelimutu. Back to hotel for breakfast. And then proceeds driving to Maumere. Some stops along the way like in Wolowaru to observe for organic cashew nut processing which are harvested at the eastern part of Flores. The processing involves a lot of female workers from several villages. You can see the processing from peeling till packing. Visit Sikka old village with strong Portuguese influences and to see the process of making ikat weaving. Drive down to the city. Lunch will be served at Paga Beach. Dinner and overnight at the hotel


DAY 7 MAUMERE – TRANSFER OUT (B, L, D)


After having breakfast you will be transferred to the airport to catch the flight for your next destination via Bali.
