ITINERARY IN DETAIL

 

DAY 01 ARRIVAL IN BALI (D)

 

Touching down at Ngurah Rai International Airport. At the arrival gate our staff is standing and holding a sign board of your name or group name to assist you, welcome with tropical garland lei then transfer in to The OASIS BOUTIQUE RESORT or RAMADA RESORT in Tanjung Benoa Nusa Dua or other similar hotel.  Welcome drink, cool towel will be provided on arrival at the hotel lobby. You are free at your own leisure after checking in. In the afternoon our staff will lead you for Dinner at Chinese Restaurant.
 
 DAY 02 DENPASAR – BEDUGUL + TANAH LOT (B, L, D)
 
The main target of tour today is to reach up to a mountain resort Bedugul and the Balinese most famous temple of Pura Tanah Lot. Before reaching the main targets we will have to visit the originality of Bali by visiting TAMAN AYUN, an ancient Temple of Mengwi Royal Family built in 17th. century, then drive up to the mountain resort passing through the villages and local farm reaching CANDI KUNING the center of vegetable and fruits market, visiting to Lake Beratan with its lake side temple of ULUNDANU. Lunch will be served at Restaurant a cool mountain resort that presenting beautiful views of the lake Beratan.
 
On the way back, stop at ALAS KEDATON a well-conserved forests home of thousand of monkeys considered as the holy monkeys. The trip will be proceed to TANAH LOT to visit one of the Bali’s six most important temples - PURA TANAH LOT a sea side temple which is perched upon a rocky outcrop surrounded by wild surf and waves on high tide and the temple can only be reached while low tide. From this site we may get an unforgettable experience to have a sight of the golden sunset while it reaches the horizon. Tanah Lot temple was founded in 1481 AD by a famous Hindu priest Dang Hyang Nirartha. Drive through forward to the town to have dinner at local restaurant.
 
DAY 03 DENPASAR – LABUAN BAJO – KOMODO (B, L, D)
 
Depart from DENPASAR by MERPATI Airline or TransNusa at 09.30 and arrive in Labuan Bajo 11.15 Welcome service at the airport, then direct transfer to the harbor, embark a Phinisi boat or a traditional wooden vessel to have a leisure sailing to Komodo Island. Lunch, Dinner & and overnight served on board.
 
 DAY 04 KOMODO – RINCA ISLAND – LABUANBAJO (B, L, D)
 
After having breakfast on board start with a mild hiking on "Jurassic park" KOMODO ISLAND to meet and observe the gigantic reptile on the earth. We will also find many wild animals like Timor deer, wild buffalo, long tailed macaque, wild boars and also numerous of birds such as lesser sulphur crested Cockatoo, collared kingfisher etc. Our tour will be conducted by local ranger along this natural preservation.  Keep your eyes look up as sometimes you will find young Komodo dragons on the tree for their safe. Return to the boat and for lunch then proceeds to the Pink Beach (Pantai Merah) for swimming and relaxation or snorkeling in unspoiled coral reefs among the colourful tropical fish. In the afternoon continue sailing to Rinca Island to see the dragon and then sailing to LABUAN BAJO. Dinner and overnight at LAPRIMA Hotel or JAYAKARTA Hotel or RAMADA BINTANG FLORES Hotel.
 
DAY 05 LABUAN BAJO – RUTENG - LIANGBUA (B, L, D)
 
After having breakfast at the hotel, early in the morning head up to RUTENG, passing through the lush jungles and some scenic landscapes along the way. Scenic panoramas along the road from Labuanbajo to Ruteng gives special impression. See "LINGKO" spider web rice field on CANCAR. Reach the very cool city Ruteng. Reaching  Ruteng then visit to the Manggaraians traditional Gendang houses. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch we will proceed the trip to Liangbua Cave the place where the archeologist found the skeleton fossil of the hobit known as Homo Floresniensis. Back to Ruteng for rest and stay overnight

 

DAY 06 RUTENG – DENGE (B,L,D)

 

Today you are targeting the most traditional and well secured Waerebo village. The trip will pass Golo Lusang  that offers spectacular  panorama. Wae Rebo itself  lies on the South West part of Ruteng. The trip will take 3 hours drive from Ruteng to Denge Village the stop point for every vehicle, and the place to stay over night at the simplest local houses. At Denge Village we may interact with local people at the rest of time. Dinner will be served by local host where we are stying overnight.

 

DAY 07 DENGE – WAEREBO – RUTENG (B,L,D)

 

After having breakfast we will start an adventure trip to the most remoute and secure village-Wae Rebo which has been awarded by UNESCO as the world’s most origin Cultural Heritage. Early in the morning from Denge we will have to have a trekking for about three hours to Wae Rebo. One hours be on the world away from your modern life; interact with the people who live in their very traditional way of life then back to Denge. Upon arrival at Denge Village, proceed the trip back to Ruteng. Check in to Hotel for overnight.

 

DAY 08 RUTENG –  BAJAWA (B, L, D)

 

After having breakfast we will proceeds to Bajawa. Scenic panoramas along the road from Ruteng to Bajawa gives special impression. Stop at Ranamese Lake in lush rainforest, short walks for a breathtaking of fresh atmosphere in RANAMESE's tranquil surroundings. On the way stop to see the process of making traditional wine liquor of ARAK, and test drinking will be a choice. Stop will also be made on Waeri the best view point to take photo of Inerie Volcano. On arrival check in for overnight at HOTEL BINTANG WISATA or HOTEL EDELWEIS on the town of Bajawa or SILVERIN VILLA outskirt of the town of Bajawa. Lunch at local restaurant in Borong, Dinner will be served at local restaurant in Bajawa.

 

DAY 09 BAJAWA – FREE FOR RELAX

 

DAY 10 BAJAWA – BENA – GURUSINA –WOGO – BAJAWA (B, L, D)
 
Breakfast at Hotel. Drive Southward drive down the hills and mountain to BENA, LUBA and GURUSINA traditional villages to visit the real life of Ngadha tribes on a most traditional village with original tribal houses set on the foot of INERIE Volcano (2245 m).

Lunch will be served at SILVERIN RESTAURANT.  After lunch we will drive to Mangulewa village to see rows of Ngadhu and Bhaga and stop will be made to see green coffee plantation; then  to Wogo and stop will be made at Seminary Toda Belu to visit the old building of school built by Dutch Missionary; a school for young boys prepared to be Catholic Priests and the retreat house of Kemah Tabor in Mataloko, then proceeds to Toda Village to see the local people obtain the Palm Milk made in producing fermented palm wine for a strongly alcoholic or slightly palm wines in specific way for specific taste. Continue the trip to Wogo traditional village to see the well-maintained traditional houses, its structures and philosophy.  Upon arrival on the gate of Wogo village, with plain smile he local people in traditional costume in a traditional welcome greeting Sa Ngaza, followed by Jai dance to welcome the guests into the village center. This will be moment to experience the tribal way of life where all the villagers are in great joy to accept the guest as the part of their family member by a rite with pig or chicken bloodshed on every hand and on the Village stage, following with the demonstration process of making sword, and the performance Bamboo traditional music, Kadhi Sagu Alu Dance, Jai Laba Rudu dance in the village stage will be shown. A dance with the sound of Laba Rudu - a drum made of human head skin which actually so rare to be shown except when welcoming the soldiers go for a battle or back to the village with victory after having a battle. At last in lively and merry of Jai Dance with gong gendang as the moment of farewell the villagers escort the guests walking out to leave the village and back to the hotel in Bajawa. Late in the afternoon drive back to Bajawa. Dinner will be served at CAMELIA RESTAURANT.
 
 DAY 11 BAJAWA – WAWOMUDHA – SOA – RIUNG (B, L, D)
 
After having breakfast at the hotel at 09.00am we will have a city tour in Bajawa then drive westward passing lush Bamboo plantations and the scenic view along the road until we reach the crater of WAWOMUDHA. Drive south and eastward to have a relax moment in SOA dipping in a pond of hot spring and soaking in the warm spring running in cascades. Of course, there will be great hunger after a dip. We will have lunch box on the spot.  After having lunch, we will have a drive to RIUNG. During the trip to Riung we may see various unique panoramas. Dinner and overnight at Catholic Missionary Guest House - PONDOK SVD.
 
 DAY 12 RIUNG – ENDE – WOLOTOPO – MONI (B, L, D)
 
Early in the morning walk to the port to have a boat for a short sail on the very clear sea where you may see the colourful coral reefs known as sea garden.  Sail back to RIUNG mainland for a breakfast. After breakfast we start the trip to MONI via MBAY and ENDE's scenic landscape with a stop at Penggajawa, the Beach lined with pastel blue, green, and pink stones. You'll see people sitting solitary along the shore, intently piling up stones. This cottage industry of enterprising locals sorts the stones for export as far away as Japan. Proceeds the trip to the Ende town and have a stop for visiting the museum of the Indonesia’s First President Sukarno. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After having Lunch proceeds trip through the beach with stunning scenery to reach to Wolotopo - a unique traditional village of Lionese, then drive up through the mountainous road to Detusoko.  Stop will be made at Wolondopo Nua One to see the only Mumi of Kaki More. Dinnner and overnight at the monastery of the Franciscans nuns at Detusoko.
 
 DAY 13 MONI – KELIMUTU – MAUMERE (B, L, D)
 
Wake up early in the morning at 4.00 to have an excursion to KELIMUTU, a dramatic and mysterious three colored crater lakes.  Expectedly we will witness the wonderful sun rise from the top point of Mount Kelimutu. Back to hotel for breakfast. And then proceeds driving to Maumere through mountains with wonderful scenery Drive about 20 minutes transgress out the main road and see more incredible hillside scenery en route to reach to Sikka old village with strong Portuguese influences and to see the process of making ikat weavings. The whole island is famed for its gorgeous textiles, with sinuous patterns tie-dyed into the threads before they're woven. Along every roadside, we’ll see women working away at their back strap looms under a shady tree. But the highest-quality weavings, magnificent sarong are in Sikka, just 1 hour from Moni. On arrival the villagers will surround the visitors with a wall of weavings, smiling and murmuring their sales pitches. On this small fishing village, we will find the old church with its original decoration built by Portuguese. Drive crossing to the North beach to another small fishing village in Wuring to see the real life of the fishermen. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. Rest of the day free and relaxation on the beach. Dinner and overnight at SEA WORLD CLUB.
 
DAY 14 MAUMERE – LEDALERO – BALI (B, L, D)
 
After having breakfast we will have free time until checking out and transfer out to the airport. Arrive in Denpasar Ngurah Rai Airport at 17.50. On arrival we will be directly drive to restaurant for dinner. Then you will be transferred in to THE VIRA or BALI DYNASTY in Kuta area or other similar hotel for overnight.
 
 DAY 15 DENPASAR – RELAX SPA (B, D)
 
You have passed a great adventure. Today is the time for you for relaxation. We will take you to the SPA Centre to refresh you up by a luxurious treatment consist of Indonesian massage to create a feeling of well-being and new energy through exfoliation scrub using yellow colored spices and herbs clean and softening skin. Rubbing down fresh yogurt to stimulate and restore your pH balance. Relaxing soak in a scented flower bath completed by Spa drink. After having a relaxing moment, we will go for dinner at Javanese Restaurant.
 
DAY 16: KINTAMANI TOUR INCLUDES BARONG DANCE SHOW  (B-L-D)
 
After having breakfast at the hotel and please be ready for a full day excursion. First stop will be made at BATUBULAN village where you are invited to watch Barong and Keris Dance – a Balinese traditional compound of act and dance featuring human psychological conflicts between right and wrong. Barong and Keris played in a full trance that is believed that the all acts conducted by the spirit of gods or ancestors. The trip then continued to reach the top point – Kintamani, passing through UBUD Art Village. Some stops will be made in CELUK the village of gold and silver smith then to BATUAN community of painters, MAS the village of wood carvers with their works of art. Proceeds to GOA GAJAH the cave of Trilangga and Ganesha, the statue features the elephant head with human body. Reaching the top point of KINTAMANI to have its panoramic view of Lake and Mount BATUR. Lunch will be served at local restaurant overlooking the volcano and the lake Batur. On the way back to the city you a stop can be made in TAMPAK SIRING a famous Balinese Temple site with its holy spring water in. Then check in to the hotel for stay overnight Drive down town and stop at COFFEE PRODUCTION where best selected coffee beans are being processed to export all over the world. On this place we may have the taste of hot or iced best coffee. Proceeds to JIMBARAN bay to have fresh seafood dinner right on the white sandy beach. After having dinner then check in to the hotel for overnight stay
 
DAY 17 TRANSFER OUT
 
After having breakfast in the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to you home country.

Difficulty of the trip

 

This trip is a combination of a soft relax and adventure trip. It is always hard to judge the difficulty of a trip; for one person it may take a lot of effort, for another it is easy. However, for those in good physical shape and for those who make treks regularly, this trip should be suitable. The duration of the walks vary from 3 to 6 hours. What makes it hard is the humidity and temperature. For that reason we always start early.
