ITINERARY IN DETAIL

 

DAY 01: ARRIVE LABUAN BAJO – DEPART FOR KOMODO (L, D)

 
Arrive in Labuan Bajo, welcome service at the airport, lunch at local restauran then directly transfer to the harbour, embark a Phinisi boat or a traditional wooden vessel to have a leisure sailing to Komodo Island. Dinner & and overnight served on board.
 
DAY 02: KOMODO – RINCA ISLAND – LABUANBAJO (B, L, D)
 
After having breakfast on board start with a mild hiking on "Jurassic park" KOMODO ISLAND to meet and observe the gigantic reptile on the earth. We will also find many wild animals like Timor deer, wild buffalo, long tailed macaque, wild boars and also numerous of birds such as lesser sulphur crested Cockatoo, collared kingfisher etc. Our tour will be conducted by local ranger along this natural preservation.  Keep your eyes look up as sometimes you will find young Komodo dragons on the tree for their safe. Return to the boat and for lunch then proceeds to the Pink Beach (Pantai Merah) for swimming and relaxation or snorkeling in unspoiled coral reefs among the colourful tropical fish. In the afternoon continue sailing to Rinca Island to see the dragon and then sailing to LABUAN BAJO. Dinner and overnight in the Hotel.
 
DAY 03: LABUAN BAJO – RUTENG –  LIANGBUA (B, L, D)
 
After having breakfast at the hotel, early in the morning head up to RUTENG, passing through the lush jungles and some scenic landscapes along the way. Scenic panoramas along the road from Labuanbajo to Ruteng gives special impression. See "LINGKO" spider web rice field on CANCAR. Reach the cool city Ruteng then visit to the Manggaraians  traditional Gendang houses at RUTENG PUU. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch we will proceed the trip to Liangbua Cave the place where the archeologist found the skeleton fossil of the hobit known as Homo Floresniensis. Back to Ruteng for rest and stay overnight.

 

DAY 04: RUTENG – DENGE (B,L,D)

 

Today you are targeting the most traditional and well secured Waerebo village the world’s most origin Cultural Heritage. The trip will passes Golo Lusang that offers spectacular  panorama. Wae Rebo itself  lies on the South West part of Ruteng. The trip will take 3 hours drive from Ruteng to Denge Village the stop point for every vehicle, and the place to stay over night at the simplest local houses. At Denge Village you may interact with local people at the rest of time. Dinner will be served by local host where you are stying overnight.

 

DAY 05: DENGE – WAEREBO – RUTENG (B,L,D)

 

After having breakfast you will start an adventure trip to the most remoute and secure village-Wae Rebo which has been awarded by UNESCO as the world’s most origin Cultural Heritage. Early in the morning from Denge we will have a trekking for about three hours to Wae Rebo. One hour be on the world away from your modern life; interact with the people who live in their very traditional way of life then back to Denge. Upon arrival at Denge Village, proceed the trip back to Ruteng. Check in to Hotel for overnight.

 

DAY 06: RUTENG –  BAJAWA (B, L, D)

 

After having breakfast you will proceeds to Bajawa. Scenic panoramas along the road from Ruteng to Bajawa gives special impression. Stop at Ranamese Lake in lush rainforest, short walks for a breathtaking of fresh atmosphere in RANAMESE's tranquil surroundings. On the way stop to see the process of making traditional wine liquor of ARAK, and test drinking will be a choice. Stop will also be made on Waeri the best view point to take photo of Inerie Volcano. On arrival check in for overnight at HOTEL BINTANG WISATA or HOTEL EDELWEIS on the town of Bajawa or SILVERIN VILLA outskirt of the town of Bajawa. Lunch at local restaurant in Borong, Dinner will be served at local restaurant in Bajawa.

 

DAY 07: BAJAWA – FREE FOR RELAX

 

DAY 08: TREKKING TO BELARAGHI (B, L, D)

 

Start early in the morning from Wawo Wae just away West of Bajawa. Trekking through lush forest and the open savannah of the 11kms long trek to discover the very secured traditional village and traditional houses at Belaraghi. The village consists of two paralel rows of 16 houses, and the land structure is ascending like the other traditional villages in Ngada. For local people of Belaraghi the visitors are guest and will be treated as guests instead of tourist. Therefore, guests are traditionally welcomed with a ceremony of hospitality service to the ancestral spirit called Ti’i ka Ebu Nusi by which they invites the ancestral spirits to be friendly with those who visits the village. The ritual will be made by offering a chicken and rice for the ancestral spirit and being quoted with eating together.  Stay over night with traditional mattress made of pandanus leaf at traditional house.  On the next day you will have to leave the vilage for the next stop.  For group there will be a cluster bamboo flute ‘Suling’ concert in ending our visit to the village.

 

DAY 09: BELARAGHI – AIMERE – BAJAWA (B, L, D)

 

Walk down around 1,5 hours to reach to Paukate where the car is waiting for you and take you to Aimere to see Arak Processing at Gemo to product local liquor. Proceed to Mbalata Beach for relaxation on beach and Lunch. In the afternoon drive uphills beack to Bajawa.
 
DAY 10: BAJAWA – WAWOMUDHA – SOA – RIUNG (B, L, D)
 
After having breakfast at the hotel at 09.00am you will have a city tour in Bajawa then drive westward passing lush Bamboo plantations and the scenic view along the road until we reach the crater of WAWOMUDHA. Drive south and eastward to have a relax moment in SOA dipping in a pond of hot spring and soaking in the warm spring running in cascades. Of course, there will be great hunger after a dip. We will have lunch box on the spot.  After having lunch, you will have a drive to RIUNG. During the trip to Riung we may see various unique panoramas. Dinner and overnight at Catholic Missionary Guest House - PONDOK SVD.
 
DAY 11: RIUNG – ENDE – WOLOTOPO – WOLONDOPO – DETUSOKO (B, L, D)
 
Early in the morning walk to the port to have a boat for a short sail on the very clear sea where you may see the colourful coral reefs known as sea garden.  Sail back to RIUNG mainland for a breakfast. After breakfast we start the trip to MONI via MBAY and ENDE's scenic landscape with a stop at Penggajawa, the Beach lined with pastel blue, green, and pink stones. You'll see people sitting solitary along the shore, intently piling up stones. This cottage industry of enterprising locals sorts the stones for export as far away as Japan. Proceeds the trip to the Ende town and have a stop for visiting the museum of the Indonesia’s First President Sukarno. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After having Lunch proceeds trip through the beach with stunning scenery to reach to Wolotopo - a unique traditional village of Lionese, then drive up through the mountainous road to reach to Detusoko.  Call at Wolondopo to see the only Mumi on the island then proceed to check in to the monastery of Fransiskans nuns. Dinner and overnight at the monastery of the Franciscans nuns at Detusoko.
 
 DAY 12: DETUSOKO – KELIMUTU – MAUMERE (B, L, D)
 
Wake up early in the morning at 4.00 to have an excursion to KELIMUTU, a dramatic and mysterious three colored crater lakes.  Expectedly we will witness the wonderful sun rise from the top point of Mount Kelimutu. Back to hotel for breakfast. And then proceeds driving to Maumere through mountains with wonderful scenery Drive about 20 minutes transgress out the main road and see more incredible hillside scenery en route to reach to Sikka old village with strong Portuguese influences and to see the process of making ikat weavings. The whole island is famed for its gorgeous textiles, with sinuous patterns tie-dyed into the threads before they're woven. Along every roadside, we’ll see women working away at their back strap looms under a shady tree. But the highest-quality weavings, magnificent sarong are in Sikka, just 1 hour from Moni. On arrival the villagers will surround the visitors with a wall of weavings, smiling and murmuring their sales pitches. On this small fishing village, we will find the old church with its original decoration built by Portuguese. Drive crossing to the North beach to another small fishing village in Wuring to see the real life of the fishermen. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. Rest of the day free and relaxation on the beach. Dinner and overnight at SEA WORLD CLUB.
 
DAY 13 MAUMERE – TRANSFER OUT (B)

 

After having breakfast you will have a free time until the exact time of departue. One hour prior to ETD you have to check in to the airport.
